China's emergence as an economic superpower has made it a very attractive destination for many immigrants. Some Westerners may experience culture shock when they move to China, but its rich history, art and culture are definitely worth immersing yourself in. There are plenty of beautiful places to visit and the cuisine is, as we all know, simply exquisite.
Before you ship your possessions to China, make sure to check that you are using the right shipping container size. As a gauge, a 20-foot container can hold the contents of a 3-bedroom house while a 40-foot one can hold the contents of a 4- or 5-bedroom house. A 40-foot container can also accommodate a family vehicle along with the contents of a 3-bed house.
In general a car will fit into a 20ft container. You will also need to consider quarantine and tax charges usually levied on importing vehicles.
