Study Online MBA in France

Whether you want to study a regular MBA online in France or fancy specialising in wine and spirits, there are several fully online and blended study options available for those in France wishing to study for their MBA by distance learning – or for those outside France interested to study one of these courses rather than one in their home country.

Most French online MBAs are delivered in English with one or two offering the option for tuition in French, and a language proficiency test will have to be taken for those wishing to study in their second language. Let us guide you through some of France’s most interesting online MBA programs. First up - we couldn’t resist it - is the Wine and Spirits MBA at KEDGE Business School, based in Paris, Marseille, Bordeaux and Shanghai.

MBA Wine and Spirits (Blended Study), KEDGE Business School: EUR 32,000

Ranked 43 in the world by the Financial Times as an executive course, KEDGE’s online MBA takes two years part-time and offers 24 days dedicated solely to wine and spirits management. A truly immersive approach to business administration as well as its niche, the course has compulsory modules to be studied in Bordeaux, Adelaide and California, with an extra educational to be completed in either Edinburgh, Shanghai or the wine lands of Stellenbosch in South Africa.

So whilst the online study aspect of this course would certainly benefit someone wishing to bolster their qualifications whilst remaining in industry, this course does call for some significant travel – and the associated time implications and costs.

Job Roles Suited to the W&S MBA

- Export Manager

- Marketing Manager

- Sales Manager

- Director of External Relations

- International Director

- Wine Division Manager

MBA Online, France Business School EUR 22,000

This course takes from two to five years to complete online, and each summer term is rounded off with ten hours of on-site learning at either the Tours or the Poitiers campuses, as a means of obtaining face-to-face tuition and valuable feedback. Attending your chosen campus for one week and two hour sessions each day from Monday to Friday, the week on campus is a great opportunity to network with other students and to obtain a full and final summary of the year’s study.

The course has twelve units in total, each of which should take around a month to complete, with the maximum time allowed to complete the course being a generous sixty months. The online MBA’s final semester will be entirely devoted to a capstone project, often focussing on issues of sustainability thought it can also be a project related to the student’s current or intended area of industry. The thesis is a thirty page essay that applies all learnt theory to the organisation being used as an example, before setting out a clear action plan for its organisational development as well as the improvement of its employees.

International Executive MBA (Blended Study), International School of Management (ISM) Paris EUR 26,000

A truly international qualification, the ISM requires its MBA students to attend a fortnight of seminars in New York, during its 12-18 month duration. Its blended study model stipulates that at least 25% of the course is completed on campus, freeing up students to undertake the majority of their study from home – wherever that may be.

As a full-time course the ISM MBA takes 12-18 months to complete, and students can choose to specialise in either general business administration, entrepreneurship and innovation, or finance. The course does market itself as a flexible one that allows students to play to their individual strengths, however, so there are part-time options as well as opportunities to attend seminars in major cities other than Paris or New York, such as New Delhi, Sao Paulo or Shanghai.
